Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Arctic Studies, Dartmouth College

The Fulbright Visiting Research Chair in Arctic Studies is open to Canadian scholars that meet the eligibility requirements of the Fulbright Program.  Specifically, the Chair will be focused on issues pertaining to Arctic Studies and will carry out the program of research, teaching and service outlined in the successful application.

Dartmouth has a strong sense of place that encourages lasting bonds between people and the natural environment. Located in the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding, the Institute of Arctic Studies is the home for all environmental programming, as well as national and international climate and polar initiatives and informed policy discussions. The Institute has become a crossroads for interdisciplinary research and education in polar studies and Arctic policy. It highlights the importance of polar regions, global ecosystems, and Arctic communities in world affairs and sparks productive discussions across disciplines and sectors.

Specializations: Polar Science, Human Dimensions of the Polar Regions, Knowledge Co-Production, Arctic Policy and Diplomacy, Arts & Languages, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Engineering, Evolutionary Biology.
